Port Nelson Facility

The Port Nelson Facility is a methyl alcohol bulk storage facility; it receives shipments from a bulk-fuel ship carrier, before it is taken by road tanker to the AICA NZ manufacturing plant at Richmond to be converted into a base material for resin manufacture.

The storage facility is only manned during ship unloading, road tanker loading and during maintenance.  It is remotely monitored through a DCS system CCTV system from the Richmond site.
